The Many Advantages of Our Fabric Buildings

Fabric BuildingsSince 1979, businesses across the United States have relied on Big Top’s fabric buildings for their operations. When compared to the high costs and inflexible nature of brick-and-mortar structures, our shelters are the perfect solution for companies that need additional space.

A Cost-Effective Design

Big Top’s fabric structures are supported by a high-quality, galvanized steel frame that will hold strong year after year with proper maintenance. Because they require fewer materials than permanent buildings, our structures cost far less and take less time to assemble. In fact, our fabric buildings can be deployed at a rate of 2,500 square feet per day, and we offer turnkey installation services so that your staff can continue to work and your production stays on schedule.

Energy Savings

Another way a Big Top fabric building can help you save on costs is by minimizing your energy usage. The fabric roof is translucent and will allow natural sunlight to fully illuminate the interior. Without artificial lighting running all day, you can see how energy savings can quickly add up.

Furthermore, the fabric roof is formulated to repel 99.95% of the sun’s harmful UV-A and UV-B radiation, offering unparalleled protection for your staff, equipment, and materials. By reflecting heat away, the fabric roof helps to maintain a comfortable interior temperature that is, on average, 15 degrees cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than the temperature outside without aid from an HVAC system. This will help you save on energy costs and minimize disruptions to your production as your staff will require far fewer breaks than if they were exposed to the elements.

Flexible Designs

When you partner with Big Top, we’ll work closely with you to design the perfect fabric building for your needs. We can customize your structure in many ways. This includes installing flooring, doors, insulation, or other accessories; equipping a telescopic roof for crane access; and adding extra engineering to withstand heavy wind and snow loads as required by local building codes. Your fabric shelter can be virtually any length and span up to 174’ wide and 80’ high. For added height, we can anchor your building to stacks of containers or ecology blocks. Otherwise, your shelter can be anchored to asphalt or another type of foundation—it does not require a permanent concrete pad.

Portable Fabric Buildings

Another advantage of our fabric shelters over permanent buildings is that they can adapt to your changing business needs. For instance, your fabric structure can be moved intact around your footprint with a crane. Additionally, it can be disassembled and shipped to a new location should your base of operations relocate.
