Temporary Buildings Designed for Long-Term Use
Big Top Fabric Structures specializes in designing and manufacturing temporary buildings. Our structures are completely customizable and can, therefore, be used for nearly any application, making them a versatile solution for companies across a wide spectrum of industries. Though they are considered temporary, our buildings stand the test of time thanks to their durable galvanized steel frame. In fact, our fabric structures can last upwards of 20 years when properly maintained.
How Our Fabric Structures Are Used
Since 1979, we’ve been manufacturing temporary buildings for industrial, mining and mineral, oil and gas, marine, aviation, and environmental companies, as well as government organizations and the U.S. military. Our fabric structures are the perfect solutions for:
Warehousing
Big Top’s temporary buildings can be nearly any size, spanning up to 174 feet in width and 80 feet in height, providing ample space for storage racks. Our durable flooring is strong enough to support the weight of forklifts and other machinery, and we can include large bay doors in the design for shipping and receiving.
Sunshades
Fixed-base operators regularly choose Big Top for sunshades and hangars to protect their aircraft and maintenance crew. Indeed, the fabric roof of our temporary buildings is formulated to block up to 99.95% of UV-A and UV-B radiation, maximizing aircraft electronics and paint jobs and shielding personnel from sun exposure. Our sunshades can be anchored directly to the flight line and ensure mission readiness for military organizations.
Waste Management & Recycling
Open-air waste management facilities are at the mercy of Mother Nature—as soon as a storm rolls through, production comes to a halt. Plus, some recyclable materials, such as cardboard, lose value when wet. Our temporary buildings can keep operations dry so that production can continue uninterrupted. And they’re naturally ventilated to minimize unpleasant odors.
Sandblasting & Painting
Big Top’s fabric structures can provide proper containment for all blasting materials, including Black Beauty abrasives, as required by the Environmental Protection Agency. They can be erected much faster than traditional containment facilities and are available with HVAC and ventilation systems to keep the air clean of hazardous debris.
Lunchrooms & Safety Meeting Facilities
With no internal guy wires or columns taking up space, our temporary buildings are completely clear span and provide plenty of room for employee common areas. The thermal-reflective fabric roof ensures the interior remains at a comfortable temperature that is, on average, 15 degrees cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than the outside temperature. For additional climate control, we can install HVACs and insulation. And, with lighting protection included in the design, our fabric structures can be used as muster stations for the safety of your staff.
Other Benefits of Our Temporary Buildings
No matter how your Big Top fabric structure is designed, you can expect a wide range of benefits. These include:
- Energy efficiency – The fabric roof is translucent and will fully illuminate the interior of your building without help from an artificial lighting system.
- Cost savings – Big Top’s temporary buildings require fewer materials than permanent structures, and they can be erected much faster at a rate of 2,500 square feet per day. And, with our turnkey installation service, we can spare you the hassle of hiring a separate contractor.
- Portability – Our fabric structures can be moved around your property intact with a crane, or disassembled and shipped to a new location to keep pace with the changing needs of your operations.
