Marine Shelters Custom Built for Shipyards Around the World
Marine shelters are invaluable to shipbuilders, as they provide protective cover not only for vessels and other watercraft, but also for the employees that work on them. Unfortunately, cost is often a prohibitive factor when it comes to building such a structure. That’s why, at Big Top Fabric Structures, we’re committed to making affordable, custom fabric buildings for shipbuilding and other applications.
When you choose Big Top to create your fabric building, we will work with you closely to ensure that it has all the features you need it to have. We can make marine shelters with translucent fabric to take advantage of natural light; we can build them to abide by regulations for wind load, snow load, and seismic activity; we can increase their portability by installing one of our mobility kits, such as a crane-lifting package, jacks and wheels, or rails; and we can add ventilation so you can blast and paint inside without having to worry about fumes. If you can think it, we can build it.
In addition to being customizable, Big Top’s marine shelters are extraordinarily durable. Specifically:
- Our frames are made with industrial-grade galvanized steel and can be hot-dipped for added protection against corrosion if needed.
- Our fabric is California State Fire Marshal Flame Resistance Certified, passes the NFPA 701 large- and small-scale tests, and is radio-frequency or hot-air welded to provide water-proof seams.
