We Can Customize a Fabric Structure to Provide the Solution You’ve Been Looking for

How We Can Customize a Fabric StructureBig Top is known throughout the industry for our high-quality and versatile custom fabric structures. Unlike some of our competitors that only offer a handful of models to choose from, we take the time to listen to our customers’ needs and then custom design the perfect shelter to meet them. Our can-do approach to design has helped companies across nearly every industry, including construction, mining and mineral, aviation, military, waste management, and more conduct their operations safely sheltered from the elements. Here are some ways we can customize a fabric building to meet your unique requirements:

Size

There are virtually no limitations on size for your shelter. Our buildings can span 174’ in width, 80’ in height, and nearly unlimited length. If you need added height for your shelter, we can anchor it to stacks of ecology blocks or shipping containers — indeed, our fabric buildings can be secured to nearly any type of foundation, not just concrete.

Local Building Codes

Big Top’s fabric shelters are constructed with an industrial-strength, galvanized steel frame that is strong enough to withstand years of inclement weather. However, if your operations are located in an area with more volatile weather patterns, we can engineer your building for heavy wind and snow loads to meet local building codes.

Safety

Our structures are often used as safety meeting facilities, lunchrooms, assemblies, and other spaces where employees can gather. In those instances, we can equip the shelter with lightning protection so that it can be used as a muster station in the event of a sudden storm. We can also provide ventilation for indoor air quality and proper containment for waste as required by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Portability

We can design your shelter for mobility to meet the needs of your production. This can include telescopic maneuverability, which will allow the cover to be rolled back on rails for crane access, and crane-lifting functionality that will allow the building to be moved around your property intact. Additionally, your shelter can be disassembled and shipped to another location should your operations move.

A Wide Range of Options

There are numerous accessories to choose from when designing your shelter. For instance, we can install HVAC systems and insulation, personnel and bay doors, durable roadway matting, seating and lunch tables, and more.

Unique Benefits of Our Fabric Roof

The fabric roof in Big Top’s shelters is translucent and will allow natural sunlight to illuminate the interior without the need for artificial lighting, which can help you save on energy costs. Additionally, it is formulated to block 99.95 percent of harmful UV-A and UV-B radiation, protecting your environmentally sensitive materials and maximizing the lifespan of your equipment’s electronics. It will also help to maintain an interior temperature that is on average 15 degrees warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than the outside temperature, keeping your staff safe and comfortable throughout the workday.
