They Offer Superior Protection From the Elements

In fact, the fabric cover has a UPF rating of 2,000 and is formulated to repel 99.95% of harmful UV-A and UV-B radiation. This outstanding thermal performance helps to keep the interior temperature 15 degrees warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than the outside temperature, keeping military personnel comfortable throughout the day. Our temporary buildings can also be engineered for heavy wind and snow loads, and equipped with lightning protection.

Thanks to their thermal performance, Big Top’s fabric military shelters do not require artificial climate control. Additionally, the fabric cover is translucent and allows sunlight to fully illuminate the interior space without the need for electric lighting. These benefits add up to significant energy savings.

Big Top’s fabric structures are approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as being compliant with U.S. Air Force Sunshade Management, Air Force Instruction, and International Building Code. They are Berry Amendment compliant and can be anchored directly to the flight line to ensure mission readiness.
