Relocation Via Wheels/Rail Mount  

We can design our structures to move via ASCE Crane Rail or inverted C-Channel. Wheel systems are custom designed for your specific application. Generally speaking, the inverted C-Channel is the most economical method for moving shelters. The channel controls the direction of travel. However, this option requires a clean operating environment. Debris can impede the travel of the unit.


ASCE crane rail is the suggested method to guide our shelters. We supply the wheel assembly, restraint plates, bolts, and mounting plates for 30lb. or 100lb. ASCE Crane Rail. For our smaller size we offer a rubber caster with caster jack, which allows movement of the shelter to a new location very quickly.

Rail mounted shelter systems can be stored by stacking the smaller sections inside larger sections to conserve space. We have many shelter configurations to choose from.

This project involved two shelters on either side of a bridge. The shelters are mobile on steel wheels on rails to be rolled over concrete forms while the concrete is setting. The shelters can also be separated to allow the concrete to be removed.

 HD Series
  HD Wheel/Jack Assembly with mounting plate. The HD series includes a 4" x 12,000 lbs worm gear jack assembly or a 2.5" x 7,000lbs assembly. Either system is welded to a swivel or rigid hard rubber or pneumatic caster. The mounting plate is custom fabricated for each application. The structure above is a 72ft. wide span that can be rolled from one spot to another with 4 people on the lime-rock surface.
