When
the US Marine Corps sought custom solutions for
maintenance of heavy equipment at their 29 Palms
location, Big Top Manufacturing provided two
unique types of structures. One shelter is customized
to house wash racks for the washing of large
trucks and heavy equipment. The 36Wx60Lx 29H
shelter helps prevent harmful UV rays from effecting
equipment.
Big Top provided a second custom solution by connecting
three shelters using ISO containers as a shared foundation.
The three-unit building provides an ideal maintenance
and storage area for heavy equipment, while the container
foundation saved the client money. The largest of the
three units is 44 feet wide, while the side units are
each 28 feet wide. The three-unit building solution also
includes custom roll-up doors. |

Vinyl
Shelters allow maintenance and support personnel
24 hour operations. These shelters shield
personnel and equipment from harsh weather
conditions: High Wind, Desert heat, blowing,
sand, snow, and rain... These vinyl structures
have been relocated several times during
their deployment. They are designed to move
from location to location via the wheel and
jack system on their base. Once they are
in the desired location, the customer has
mounted them to the existing concrete with
wedge anchors.

| In
July of 2001 the Air National Guard Purchased
this 78x80x28 hangar to be used for a interim
maintenance facility. The unit is used to service
three F-16 aircraft and related equipment. This
structure was outfitted with a large access door
measuring 40ft. wide and 20ft. tall. The door
is cycled by an electric winch with manual controls.
The full door can be raised in less than a minute.
This building was easily erected in 4 days at
this facility with military personnel and a Big
Top Technical Representative. The structure and
the on-site services were purchased off our GSA
Schedule. Call us for details. |
